I had previously worked with a trainer for about a year focusing on weight training then switched it up and focused on HIIT cardio 3-4 times a week. I noticed I was losing muscle, having muscle weakness/fatigue, and also missed lifting heavy. I found Rachel through sweatingr's (Marjorie) Instagram and not gonna lie, stalked Rachel's Instagram and knew I wanted to train with her. Her strength, dedication, and knowledge about training/weight lifting were apparent from her social media but meeting her in person just solidified my assumptions. Plus she’s such a sweet person! Rachel has been training me for a couple of weeks now and I can already tell that my strength is coming back as well as my confidence with lifting heavier. Not to mention the facilities at Motive Training are top notch -- they have many pieces of equipment that many other gyms do not and the space is always fresh, clean, and happy! I am looking forward to continuing to train with Rachel for the next year (and more!) and would highly suggest checking out Motive Training and the other trainers they have on staff!
Motive Training is a place where you wanna get results and improve yourself last week was my first official day working out at the new gym and absolutely love the new place to workout at. If you are in the downtown area of Grand Rapids area I definitely highly recommend you check it out if you’re looking for trainers it’s a fun and great place to workout especially if you like to have great supports from your trainers. Brian is a great friend of my who I workout throughout the week with, every week and can honestly say he’s definitely helped me out with working out especially on my form in each of the workout session we do together. I started working with Brian Murray at Motive Training a little over a year ago after I moved to West Michigan from the East Coast. I was insecure in my body, had terrible self-esteem, and needed more than anything for someone to understand my struggles and work with me to drop weight, build muscle and not only feel and look better physically, but also lift my spirits and show me that positive change was possible. When I leave a session with Brian, I feel good, I feel stronger, I feel accomplished and leaner, that feeling carries over into the rest of my day and week. After suffering a traumatic injury, Brian was patient, kind, and stepped up to the plate by working with my physical therapists and doctors to get me back on track and back to the gym as quickly as possible. Brian’s method of training is as good, if not better than any of the gyms I have trained at in NYC, DC and Baltimore and his unique style and approach will certainly elevate him in the fitness industry and bill him as one of West Michigan’s most talented and successful trainers. We are fortunate to have his services in Grand Rapids and even if you’re not in Grand Rapids, he or any of his team members are definitely worth the drive.
